Live Positive Way - The Cup of Life

THE CUP OF LIFE
As the disciple was about to sip his tea, he noticed a fly in his cup.
The Master saw the disciple grimace……. He leaned forward with sympathy and consternation and asked “What’s the matter?”
“Oh, nothing.” The disciple said. “It’s nothing – just a fly in my tea.” The disciple managed a little smile to project acceptance and composure.
“Oh, oh, a fly in the tea,” the Master said in a low tone.
“It’s no problem.” The disciple reiterated, smiling reassuringly at the Master. But the Master, with all his concern rose from his chair, leaned over and dipped his finger into the tea. With great care, he lifted out the offending fly and then left the room.
A while later, the Master returned, beaming. “He’s going to be all right,” he said softly. He explained how he had placed the fly on the leaf of a bush so his wings could dry. “He’s still alive and has started flapping his wings… we can confidently expect him to take flight soon…”
Then the Master turned towards his disciple and said, “It wasn’t a question of the tea, but the life of the fly. You can always make another cup of tea, but the fly wouldn’t have got another moment to live……… if we hadn’t acted in time.”
To the disciple stunned at the Master’s compassion, the Master said, “Use things and love life… don’t love things and abuse life.”

Live Positive Way

 Worth Posting...

Me: God, can I ask You a question?

God: Sure

Me: Promise You won't get mad

God: I promise

Me: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today?

God: What do u mean?

Me: Well, I woke up late

God: Yes

Me: My car took forever to start

God: Okay

Me: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait

God: Huummm

Me: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call

God: All right

Me: And on top of it all off, when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager & relax. BUT it wouldn't work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that?

God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that

Me (humbled): OH

GOD: I didn't let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.

Me: (ashamed)

God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn't want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn't afford to miss work.

Me (embarrassed):Okay

God: Your phone went dead because the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn't even let you talk to them so you would be covered.

Me (softly): I see God

God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think you wanted to be in the dark.

Me: I'm Sorry God

God: Don't be sorry, just learn to Trust Me.... in All things , the Good & the bad.

Me: I will trust You.

God: And don't doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan.

Me: I won't God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for Everything today.

God: You're welcome child. It was just another day being your God and I Love looking after My Children...

Live Positive Way

In a forest, a pregnant deer is about to give birth. She finds a remote
grass field near a strong-flowing river. This seems a safe place. Suddenly labour pains begin.

At the same moment, dark clouds gather around above and lightning starts a forest fire. She looks to her left and sees a hunter with his bow extended
pointing at her. To her right, she spots a hungry lion approaching her.

What can the pregnant deer do? She is in labour! What will happen? Will the deer survive? Will she give birth to a fawn? Will the fawn survive? Or will everything be burnt by the forest fire? Will she perish to the hunters' arrow? Will she die a horrible death at the hands of the hungry male lion approaching her? She is constrained by the fire on the one side and the flowing river on the other and boxed in by her natural predators.

What does she do? She focuses on giving birth to a new life.

The sequence of events that follows are:
- Lightning strikes and blinds the hunter.
- He releases the arrow which zips past the deer and strikes the hungry lion.
- It starts to rain heavily, and the forest fire is slowly doused by the rain.
- The deer gives birth to a healthy fawn.

In our life too, there are moments of choice when we are confronted on all
sides with negative thoughts and possibilities. Some thoughts are so powerful they overcome us and overwhelm us. Maybe we can learn from the deer. The priority of the deer, in that given moment, was simply to give birth to a baby.
The rest was not in her hands and any action or reaction that changed her focus would have likely resulted in death or disaster.

Where is your focus? In the midst of the storm keep it on The Almighty...!!!""

Live Positive Way

Many people might say that your duty is morally wrong, according to their moral standards. Still that’s your duty, remember. It’s the action that keeps your mind pure - beyond likes and dislikes and other pairs of opposites. So don’t give it up.
- See Bhagavad Gita, 18.47.

If you want to achieve steadiness of mind, you should remain engaged constantly in your moment-to-moment duties with attention. The discipline this attention brings makes opposing desires, thoughts and feelings powerless to affect your mind.
- See Bhagavad Gita, 18.45.

To stay free of inner torments, just do this: Don’t give in to your enemies - desires, attachments, thoughts and feelings.
- See Bhagavad Gita, 11.34

Live Positive Way

The Bhagavad Gita Quotes...

No one who does good work will ever come to a bad end, either here or in the world to come

The immature think that knowledge and action are different, but the wise see them as the same.

The happiness which comes from long practice, which leads to the end of suffering, which at first is like poison, but at last like nectar - this kind of happiness arises from the serenity of one's own mind.

A gift is pure when it is given from the heart to the right person at the right time and at the right place, and when we expect nothing in return.

Live Positive Way

A real decision is measured by the fact that you've taken a new action. If there's no action, you haven't truly decided.

It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped.

Beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy. Human beings have the awesome ability to take any experience of their lives and create a meaning that disempowers them or one that can literally save their lives.

Only those who have learned the power of sincere and selfless contribution experience life's deepest joy: true fulfillment.

Remember, a real decision is measured by the fact that you've taken new action. If there's no action, you haven't truly decided.

Jack Canfield quotes (Co-creater of Chicken Soup series)

“Everything you want is out there waiting for you to ask. Everything you want also wants you. But you have to take action to get it.”

“Don't worry about failures, worry about the chances you miss when you don't even try.”

“And so I wait. I wait for time to heal the pain and raise me to me feet once again - so that I can start a new path, my own path, the one that will make me whole again.”

“There are essentially two things that will make you wise -- the books you read and the people you meet.”

Live Positive Way

There are three constants in life... change, choice and principles.

The key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.

A cardinal principle of Total Quality escapes too many managers: you cannot continuously improve interdependent systems and processes until you progressively perfect interdependent, interpersonal relationships.

The key is taking responsibility and initiative, deciding what your life is about and prioritizing your life around the most important things.

Live Positive Way

“Each day is an adventure in discovering the meaning of life. It is each little thing that you do that day - whether it be spending time with your friends, running in a cross-country meet or just simply staring at the crashing ocean- that holds the key to discovering the meaning of life. I would rather be out enjoying these things than pondering them. We may never really discover the meaning of life, but the knowledge we gain in our quest to discover it is truly more valuable. ”

Live Positive Way

“There is no need to search; achievement leads to nowhere. It makes no difference at all, so just be happy now! Love is the only reality of the world, because it is all One, you see. And the only laws are paradox, humor and change. There is no problem, never was, and never will be. Release your struggle, let go of your mind, throw away your concerns, and relax into the world. No need to resist life, just do your best. Open your eyes and see that you are far more than you imagine. You are the world, you are the universe; you are yourself and everyone else, too! It's all the marvelous Play of God. Wake up, regain your humor. Don't worry, just be happy. You are already free!”

Live Positive Way - Mark Victor Hansen quotes

Mark Victor Hansen quotes

“You control your future, your destiny. What you think about comes about. By recording your dreams and goals on paper, you set in motion the process of becoming the person you most want to be. Put your future in good hands - your own.”

“Now is the only time there is. Make your now wow, your minutes miracles, and your days pay. Your life will have been magnificently lived and invested, and when you die you will have made a difference.”

“Don't wait until everything is just right. It will never be prefect. There will a will always be challenges, obstacles and less than prefect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.”
