The Mayonnaise Jar
When 24 hours in a day is not enough;
Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.
A professor stood before his philosophy class
And had some items in front of him.
When the class began, wordlessly,
He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar
And start to fill it with golf balls .
He then asked the students if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured
It into the jar. He shook the jar lightly.
The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.
He then asked the students again
If the jar was full. They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand
And poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded
With an unanimous 'yes.'
The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table
And poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively
Filling the empty space between the sand.
The students laughed.
'Now,' said the professor, as the laughter subsided,
'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.
The golf balls are the important things - God, family,
Children, health, friends, and favorite passions
Things that if everything else was lost
And only they remained, your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the things that matter like your job, house, and car.
The sand is everything else --
The small stuff.
'If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued,
'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life.
If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff,
You will never have room for the things that are
Important to you.
So...
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play with your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner.
There will always be time
To clean the house and fix the dripping tap.
'Take care of the golf balls first --
The things that really matter.
Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.'
One of the students raised her hand
And inquired what the coffee represented.
The professor smiled.
'I'm glad ! You asked'.
It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,
there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.'
Please share this with other "Golf Balls"
I just did......

Change your vision...
Let us change our vision ....
many physicians and was getting his treatment done. He did not stop
consulting galaxy of medical experts; he consumed heavy loads of drugs and
underwent hundreds of injections.
But the ache persisted with great vigour than before. At last a monk who has
supposed to be an expert in treating such patients was called for by
the millionaire. The monk understood his problem and said that for
sometime he should concentrate only on green colours and not to fall his
eyes on any other colours. The millionaire got together a group of painters and purchased
barrels of green color and directed that every object his eye was likely to fall
to be painted in green colour just as the monk had
directed.
When the monk came to visit him after few days, the
millionaire' s servants ran with buckets of green paints and poured on him
since he was in red dress, lest their master not see any other colour and
his eye ache would come back.
Hearing this monk laughed said "If only you had purchased a pair of green
spectacles, worth just a few rupees, you could have saved these walls
and trees and pots and all other articles and also could have saved a large
share of his fortune.
You cannot paint the world green. Let us change our vision and the world
will appear accordingly.........

30 second Speech by Bryan Dyson (CEO of Coca Cola)
You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back.
But the other four Balls - Family, Health, Friends and Spirit - are made of glass. If you drop one of these; they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for it.
Thank you

Most of us know this before..but still just to recollect
Case : When NASA began the launch of astronauts into space, they found out that the pens would not work at zero gravity (ink will not flow down to the writing surface).
Solution # 1 : To solve this problem, it took them one decade and $12 million. They developed a pen that worked at zero gravity, upside down, underwater, in practically any surface including crystal and in a temperature range from below freezing to over 300 degrees C.
Solution # 2 : And what did the Russians do...?????? They used a pencil.
Always focus on solutions & not on problems

Value your near and dear ones!
As he got out of his car he noticed a young girl sitting on the curb sobbing. He asked her what was wrong and she replied, "I wanted to buy a red rose for my mother. But I only have seventy-five cents, and a rose costs two dollars."
The man smiled and said, "Come on in with me. I'll buy you a rose." He bought the little girl her rose and ordered his own mother's flowers.
As they were leaving he offered the girl a ride home. She said, "Yes, please! You can take me to my mother."
She directed him to a cemetery, where she placed the rose on a freshly dug grave. The man returned to the flower shop, canceled the gifting order, picked up a bouquet and drove the two hundred miles to his mother's house.
At times we take many such relationships with our family and friends for granted. Learn to value them.

Good thought...
Forget about the times you've been defeated,
but don't forget the victories you've won
Forget about mistakes that you can't change now,
but don't forget the lessons that you've learnt
Forget about misfortunes you encounter,
but don't forget the times your luck has turned
Forget about the days when you've been lonely,
but don't forget the friendly smiles you've seen
Forget about the plans that didn't seem to work out right,
but don't forget to Always Have A Dream!!!!

Its story time....
The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway;
it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.
He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him.
They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.
At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly.
Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.
A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well.
He was astonished at what he saw.
With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing.
He would shake it off and take a step up.
As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal,
he would shake it off and take a step up.
Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey
stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!
MORAL :
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt.
The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up.
Each of our troubles is a stepping stone.
We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up!
Shake it off and take a step up.

Dare to be Remarkable.-Jane Gentry.
Every mistake you make,
Every failure,Every disappointment,
To keep going on this journey of life is
Sometimes the hardest thing...
But remember,
Every great person,
Who has beaten adversity,
Whether from within or without themselves,
Has fallen and stumbled a thousand times.
But they pick themselves up,
Dust themselves down
And carry on......

Yanni's quotes
"My father once said, 'If the whole world wants to go left and you feel like going right, go right. You don't have to follow. You don't have to make a big deal about which way you're going. Just go. It's very easy'."
"The less you want, the richer you are. The more you need in order to be happy, the more miserable you'll be."
"My father taught me that one of the most important abilities in life is to be able to take the pain and persevere, and for years this lesson had served me well."
"The most important battle is one to conquer yourself."

Just for you...
Don't Give It Up
Poet: Z. Vujcic, © 2007
Today life gave you another slap
but don't give it up
throwing your towel in the ring
for things gone wrong, for words that sting
'cos there must be another way
you will see it in the light of another day
When everything seems sour, not in your favour
look around until you find better flavour
so, don't just give but live it up
pick up the pieces, be tough
grind your teeth and turn another cheek
don't give it up, that's exactly what they seek
It's too easy to walk away
quitter never wins so you should better stay
look challenges straight in the eye
don't say yet the last good-bye
fight like an animal in a trap
but don't give it up
