The weaker the man, the less he has of
restraint.
If matter is powerful, thought is omnipotent.
It is good and very grand to conquer
external nature, but grander still to conquer our internal nature.
If there is no desire, there is no
suffering.
Religion is the tie, unity of humanity.
Books never make religious but religions
make books.
Temples or churches, books or forms, as
simply the kindergarten of religion.
If one religion is true, all the others must
be true.
It is better to wear out than rust out.
What is needed is a fellow-feeling between
the different types of religion.
It is a man-making religion that we want.
If we can bring ourselves down by our karma,
surely it is in our power to raise ourselves by it.
